Cookie Policy

Floo uses only essential cookies. No analytics, no marketing, no tracking.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember preferences, and provide information to site owners. Local storage is a similar browser technology that stores data on your device.

2. Our Approach

Floo takes a minimal approach to cookies and client-side storage. We use only what is strictly necessary for the app to function:

  • Authentication cookies so you can stay logged in
  • A language preference cookie so the app renders in your chosen language
  • Local storage entries for theme preference and consent acknowledgment

We do not use any analytics cookies, marketing cookies, social media cookies, or third-party cookies of any kind.

3. Cookies We Use

The following details every cookie Floo sets:

4. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, Floo uses browser local storage for the following. Local storage data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers:

themePreference

Stores your dark/light mode preference so it persists across sessions

cookie-consent-v1Legal.cookies.ls_cookie_consent-v1_type

Legal.cookies.ls_cookie_consent-v1_purpose

5. No Third-Party Cookies

Floo does not load any third-party scripts that set cookies. Specifically, we do not use:

  • Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager
  • Facebook Pixel or Meta tracking
  • Hotjar, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar analytics platforms
  • Any advertising or retargeting networks
  • Social media widgets that set tracking cookies

The only external request Floo makes is to the Frankfurter API (frankfurter.app) for ECB exchange rate data, which does not set any cookies on your device.

6. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Here is how to manage cookies in popular browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Please note: if you block or delete the floo_access and floo_refresh cookies, you will be logged out and will need to sign in again. If you delete the NEXT_LOCALE cookie, the app will revert to your browser's default language.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we ever need to introduce new cookies (for example, for a new feature), we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date. For any change beyond strictly essential cookies, we will request your consent through the cookie consent banner.

8. Contact

If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact us through the in-app support channel or at the contact information provided on our website.

In case of discrepancy between translations, the English version prevails.
